Project Management:Technical expertise must be coupled with diligent, ongoing planning and monitoring for projects to be successful. As project manager, we serve as the liaison between the client and Nyetech and will coordinate the efforts of the technical teams, and assist with leading the business teams. Our Project Plans provides you with the basic management approach to get the work done, on time and on budget. We are skilled in more than just methodology; we have product implementation and hands on consulting experience. That makes the difference between a good project manager and a great one. Clients may look to us for direction in developing their SDLC/project methodologies, or they may have their own, which we must follow. Whatever the case, we stress good communication and people skills, which allows us to address issues as they arise with an analytical yet flexible approach. Below are some of the roles and techniques our Project Managers are responsible for: Scope & Charter - Work with executives to formulate approaches to solving business problems and taking advantage of opportunities. The project scope defines the limits and end result of the project. The charter describes how the project will be managed, the risks it faces and the assumptions on which you are relying. Work Breakdown Structure - Design dynamic project plans that deliver the desired business outcome as quickly and cheaply as possible. The work breakdown structure is a hierarchical listing of the tasks and achievements in the project. Typically it is represented as a Gantt chart. Predecessor network - Map the relationship of the assignments or tasks in a project to control the sequencing of activities. Using predecessor relationships give us a simulation of the project in the project software. Team Leadership - Interact with team members and make clear assignments that are well-matched to their capabilities. Good assignments are a project managers principle tool for motivating and controlling work on the project. Relationship Management/Client Interfacing - Understand the political atmosphere and interact with clients and other third parties (vendors, partners, consultants); managing communication and expectations. Scheduling & Budgeting - Use software tools to accurately schedule projects and effectively utilize resources. We need to ensure that the project schedule is based on the real availability of people as well as realistic duration or work estimates. Status Reporting - Project managers keep everyone informed on the progress being made and offer solutions to problems they encounter. Status reports should be decision-making tools with quantified alternatives to consider. Problem Solving - Good project managers have the tools and techniques to spot small problems and solve them early, rather than facing big problems when it's too late.
